Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

Races
I said to myself last December I will do one race for the hell of it. Here I am 4 bibs later. Signed up for 3 more races. Where did I ever go wrong? I sat at that table in Pick Me Up Cafe with two people who've helped and guided me. I blame credit them for getting me in the race craze. All they had to do was ask me "hey when is your next race?" That is all it took.
I look up to a lot of folks who I consider super human. MarkTheMoper, TheIronShecky, my swim coach Mike each and every day and I know under their guidance I may have the honor of being titled a triathlete. August 25th is coming up real quick. I'm eager to cross that finish line. Until then my training continues.
I can't just give these folks credits. I really have to thank everyone of you. My friends are my inspiration, my spirit if you will. I look back to the old me, the broken tiger, and I am sad at first. Remembering my old self is kind of depressing but I see where I am now. I am truly in my eyes rebuilt from the ground up.
Thank you all for your encouragement, well wishes, and cheer.

Team PAWS
Soliciting has never been my strong suit. So most of my donations to Team PAWS have been by a handful of people and myself. If you find this blog inspiration and would like to help out some doggies and kitties find forever home please donate to Team PAWS.
Also, I'm happy to report I have a new Teammate on Team PAWs. I suckered her into joining as well. If you want to be my teammate as well feel free to join! Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have. You can DM Tweet me @TheTigerRebuilt.
Run For Their Lives 8k
First i'd like to thank Melissa for doing a fantastic job on the 8k. I hear rumors that it was your first. It certainly didn't look like it. Really good race. I beat my previous 8k time by leaps and bounds. Looking forward to more PAWS Events!
Swimming
I've starting to do long haul swimming upwards of 40 laps. It's been a big deal to me that I want to be able to swim well for the race. 0.93 miles doesn't seem like much but combined with the bike and run it can be a big factor. Especially if the tide is coming in the other direction.

Dammit Moon Moon
Funny story, so generally I swim with tri shorts that are skin tight. However, my tri shorts had holes in them and I wore my swimming trunks instead. I was swimming for so long that on one of my strokes I brushed up against my leg. Ordinaraly this wouldn't be an issue. However I questioned myself as to why my pants were wet. I'd been in the pool for so long (35th lap, 40 or so minutes in) that I forget I was in the pool. I seriously had to think deep and hard as to why my pants were wet.
"Oh i'm in the pool" Took way too long to realize that. I nearly drowned laughing.
